Supermodel Miranda Kerr was injured recently when another car crashed into the one she was riding in on a California road. Photographers saw the model wearing a neck brace out in Los Angeles and her spokesperson confirmed that Ms. Kerr did suffer from whiplash and a neck injury as a result of the car crash.
Although the full extent of her injuries is not known, Ms. Kerr seems to have suffered from only a moderate injury in the crash, judging by her current mobility. Ms. Kerr did undergo MRI scans after the accident to determine the extent of her injuries, but that information has not been released. In many cases, whiplash injuries can seem minor immediately after the crash but the main may worsen in the weeks, months, or years following the accident. Sometimes car accident victims mistake whiplash injuries for merely being sore from the impact of the accident when in fact there could be serious damage that emerges later.
The driver of the car that collided with the one Ms. Kerr was riding in was arrested and apparently charged with reckless driving, although there is no information available at this time about the events leading up to the crash or whether the other driver was speeding or intoxicated at the time. If Ms. Kerr or any of the other people in the car at the time of the crash choose to, they may be able to pursue compensation from the reckless driver for their injuries, including the medical bills and property damage associated with the crash.
